About Our First Lady
Gwendolyn Holloway is a motivational speaker, philanthropist, teacher, prayer warrior, wife, sister, and friend. Her life is a testimony to many and she is a Godly role model for women throughout this region. Evangelist Holloway has a beautiful gentle spirit and passion to win souls for Christ, help others and inspire those who want to know Him more. Through prayer, patience, and perseverance, Evangelist Holloway is blazing a trail for God's Kingdom and is fulfilling her destiny.
Under the tutelage and leadership of Bishop Tom H. Watson of Gloryland Apostolic Cathedral Church of Richmond, Ca. Sis. Holloway was baptized and received the gift of the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in tongues at a prayer meeting.
Under Bishop’s leadership, direction and guidance, is where she found her true passion to teach and serve. By the leading of the Lord, Bishop Watson appointed Sis. Holloway as Sunday School Superintendent, Children's Ministry Teacher and Pastors Aid Committee Chairperson. With the guidance of Bishop and First Lady Watson, she developed into a great Outreach Servant- Leader. Therefore, Bishop Watson appointed Sis. Holloway to work closely with Outreach & Missions Ministry team of Gloryland, to traveling to London, England and Johannesburg, South Africa, where she was an integral part in ministering the word of God and leading in worship.
In 2003, the Lord transitioned Sis. Holloway to work under the leadership of Pastor Greg D. Williams at Lord’s House of Worship where she continued to serve in ministry. She was instrumental in developing the adult and youth music ministry. While at The Lord's House of Worship, she met and married her best friend, Elder Byron Holloway and they worked tirelessly together in ministry. In 2005, Sis. Holloway accepted her call as an Evangelist to preach and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ, seeking to save the lost, one soul at a time.
After much prayer and counsel, the Lord led Pastor Byron and Evangelist Gwendolyn to begin a new work, “Living Bread Ministry,” in the city of Vallejo, CA. The ministry stated in their home and quickly grew to overwhelming capacity. Lady Holloway developed a Food/breakfast program for the homeless and those in need, which feeds over one hundred families a month. She is now the praise and worship leader and is hands on as part of the Witnessing program at the church.
The heart of any ministry is to love God's people and Lady Gwendolyn is a great example. In 2011, the Lord laid it on her heart to start a women's ministry for the church called “Women of Grace and Purpose.” For the past five years as Founder and CEO, she and her team have ministered to women who struggle with low self-esteem, single parenting decisions, abuse, and homosexuality. She recognizes and understands the importance of affirmation, prayer, and educating women on God's purpose and destiny for their lives. She simply doesn’t just teach on prayer, but she leads by example, she is a prayer warrior interceding on behalf of others.
Evangelist Holloway continues to be steadfast in the word of God, faithful to the call of God, and attentive to the voice of God. She is the mother of five amazing children. One of her great honors is to support husband, Pastor Byron, in building disciples that will influence the lives of others.
